Derrick married his wife, Renee, in 2004. Today they have five children, Alexis, Abigail, Dylan, Andrew, and Matthew. Prior to entering the ministry, Derrick worked as a website programmer and designer for nearly ten years in the eastern Iowa region.
In 2012 Derrick and family moved to Colorado Springs, CO in order to attend Nazarene Bible College and follow the call God had placed on his life. After graduating with a degree in Pastoral Leadership in 2015, Derrick accepted a call to Faith Community Church of the Nazarene in Beulah, ND where he is currently serving as pastor. He is truly grateful to be serving God along with the congregation at Faith Community.
